Our first time in Travelers Rest and this was an outstanding experience. Sundays are 5-course tasting meals only (reservations required; the night was sold out). Atmosphere is great; old building and open floor plan. Service is friendly and attentive. The tasting experience is designed to be a lengthy meal with wine pairings available, so don’t sign up if you’re in a hurry or not prepared to enjoy your company between courses. The chef never makes the same thing twice, so these are just examples of what you might have.

A next level experience! We brought our friends here and they are prior restaurant owners. Very hard to impress. We are all amazed! Brussel sprouts were incredible, as was the sunchoke dip! The escargot next level flavor! We had beef, tile fish and coffee creme brule. Friends had ricotta cabatelli. Each one of us was blown away. Servicer Hannah was excellent & explained all prep and menu with excellence.

Adventurous, fun play of flavors & amazing staff - Ian made the whole experience extra special for the night. I recommend getting wine pairing, well selected to compliment the courses. Ham on trout made the harmony complete & the squab was excellently cooked.

This restaurant has been on our list for some time, and we were finally able to try it. Although we didn’t order directly off the menu, we were treated to a wonderful family-style meal with several courses. From the moment we walked in, the staff impressed us with their patience and exceptional service, especially while managing a large party. The meal began with a simple yet flavorful red oak lettuce salad—light and fresh, it was the perfect way to start the evening. The sides were served in waves, and each one was a standout. The brown butter carrots were a hit, even among those who aren’t typically fans of carrots—many agreed they were some of the best they’ve had. The fingerling potatoes were another winner: hot, creamy, and perfectly seasoned. I was particularly excited for the Brussels sprouts, and they did not disappoint. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, they were just fantastic. For the main courses, we were first served a free-range chicken breast. While it wasn’t the most memorable dish of the evening, it was still flavorful and well-prepared. As someone who isn’t usually fond of salmon, I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the salmon dish turned out to be—it was flaky and flavorful, definitely a highlight. But the star of the evening was the prime rib. Cooked perfectly medium-rare, it was juicy and tender, with a crust that was seasoned just right. Overall, this restaurant is a great choice if you're in the TR area. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it an excellent spot for both a romantic dinner or a business gathering. I highly recommend giving it a try if you get the chance!

This place blew our mind. Incredible brunch! Every bit was a flavor explosion. Cannot wait for the tasting menu dinner. The chef is legit... Update: If you haven't done the tasting experience yet, you have NO idea what you are missing! My wife and I have been blessed with the opportunity to dine at a total of three Michelin Star restaurants so far as well as 2 Bib Gourmands. This tasting experience and wine pairing outshined all of them!! The wine pairing was spot on. Don't skip it!

I’ve done it. I’ve found my favorite restaurant in SC. And probably top 5 in general (not kidding). When I tell you the food I tasted felt like it was made by someone who loved me more than my own mother. I never want to eat anywhere else in the state of South Carolina again. The vibes, the food, the service, unmatched. I came for brunch today and I want to go back for dinner today.

Make a reservation! Tonight we feasted on a delectable, yet light, dinner at the bar. Top notch quality, the freshest ingredients, and exceptional staff. I was treated like a member of the family! And with every item explained in detail, they put considerable thought into how one builds an appetite- a real fine-dining touch. The staff are gracious and kind and the food and cocktails (by superstar Collin) made me feel things, y’all. Will be back. Melon soup and plum sorbet were simply divine. Parking super sucks but as far as first world problems go this one is easily solved as there is parking all around the area, just pay attention to the signs.

Delicious food! Pictured are; charred brussels with mushroom topping, Beef Buvette and Creme Brulee. Their farm to table food is taken very seriously and it shines through in unique flavor profiles and combinations. Our server Max was knowledgeable and attentive, alongside the rest of the staff being welcoming and helpful. Great experience and their passion for the food shows.
